Refused to hear the petition filed against the Union Minister

The Supreme Court on Friday declined to hear a petition filed against Union Minister VK Singh, who claimed that he took his oath by commenting on India’s official position on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China. has been violated. However, the Supreme Court said that if the minister is not right, the Prime Minister will take action in this regard, the court cannot do anything.

With this observation, a bench of Chief Justice NV Ramana, Justice AS Bopanna and Justice Hrishikesh Roy dismissed the petition of the petitioner Chandrasekaran Ramasamy, a resident of Tamil Nadu. Ramasamy describes himself as a scientist. This bench of the Supreme Court said that if you do not like the statement of a minister, it does not mean that you will file a petition asking him to withdraw the statement. If the minister is not right, then the Prime Minister will take action in this regard, the court cannot do anything. The bench told the petitioner that it appears that you are a scientist, so you should use your ability to do something for the country. We are dismissing the petition. The petition sought a direction to the Center to declare that Union Minister General (Retd) VK Singh had violated his oath by making alleged remarks regarding India’s position on the Line of Actual Control with China.
