Medvedev reached the fourth round after defeating Cilic in the 5 setter

World No. 2 Daniil Medvedev of Russia defeated Marin Cilic of Croatia in a five-set match to reach the fourth round of Wimbledon. On his way to the fourth round for the first time, Medvedev defeated 2017 finalist Cilic 6-7(3), 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 in the third round.

Medvedev will next face 14th seed Hubert Harkaz of Poland for a place in the quarter-finals. With a 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 win over Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik, Harkaj entered the fourth round, achieving his best result ever at a Grand Slam.
It was an incredible match, Medvedev said in an on-court interview after last evening’s match. I am very happy Marin is a great player and after beating him I told myself that nothing could be better for me.
