Uttarakhand / Vikas Ngar : Villagers of Lohari demanded displacement from CM
A delegation of villagers, who were staging a sit-in at Juddo, the Vyasi dam project site, met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday demanding displacement. The villagers told the CM that due to lack of displacement, the clouds of crisis are hovering over their existence. Said that some people who are misleading the responsible minister and officials including CM in this matter. So the villagers should be displaced soon. The villagers, who came to meet the Chief Minister under the leadership of BJP leader and former rank holder Pratap Singh Rawat, told that Lohari village is completely affected by the Vyasi Dam project. Due to this, the previous Congress government had passed a resolution for the displacement of villagers on the silk department land of Jeevangarh and Ambari. Some people have postponed the process of displacement due to political interest. Told that the villagers have also given their entire agricultural land to the government for the dam project, so they are not left with the land. Land for land has been demanded for a long time, but every time they got false assurances. Now the present government has also canceled the proposal of displacement on the land of the silk department, due to which the future of their children is in danger. Told that after the completion of the project, the villagers of Lohari village will be forced to live the life of refugees in their own country. Due to lack of land, the villagers are now unable to even provide a roof to their children. The villagers have demanded their displacement on the land of the silk department located at Ambari, Jeevangarh. The delegation included Naresh Chauhan, Shoorveer Chauhan, Sardar Singh, Ramesh Chauhan etc.
