Nepalese Prime Minister Deuba wins trust vote in the House
Nepal’s Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba won the trust vote by securing 165 votes in the House.
A total of 249 MPs took part in the trust vote. While 165 votes were cast in favor of Deuba, 83 votes were cast in opposition, while one MP remained neutral during the trust vote.
MPs from Nepali Congress, CPN Maoist Center and Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal voted in favor of Mr. Deuba. On the other hand, Thakur-Mahto faction of JSP-N decided to vote in favor of Mr. Deuba at the last hour.
