Uttareakhand / Bageshwar : The indefinite strike of the Building and Construction Labor Union continues

The sit-in of the Uttarakhand Building and Construction Labor Union continued for the second day. Alleged of depriving registered workers of economic benefits. He said that if the interests of the laborers are not taken care of soon, then a big agitation will be organized. People associated with the trade union reached Numaishkhet ground on Wednesday and staged a sit-in with slogans. Speakers have said that in the year 2017-18, 15 days training of skill development was given to the registered workers through NGOs. After training, interest benefit was to be paid at the rate of Rs 280 per day but till now they have not been paid. Registered laborers are also being denied benefits like health insurance, pension, funeral etc. from the year 2018. The union demanded to re-operate the office of Uttarakhand Building and Construction Workers Welfare Board in Haldwani in the state. On this occasion, along with Provincial General Secretary Ramesh Chandra Joshi, District President Vishan Dutt Bhatt, Shicharan Singh etc. were present.
