Central government released another consignment of corona vaccine to the states
To increase the corona vaccination, the central government has released another consignment of vaccine for the second consecutive day. Under this, more than 53 lakh doses will be available to the states by Friday. Most of them have the CovidShield vaccine. A day earlier, the government had released a consignment of more than 1.20 crore doses, which was seen for the first time in the seven months that the vaccination program started.
The Union Health Ministry said that a consignment of 1.20 crore doses has been received by the states. At present, another consignment of 53.05 lakh doses has been released, with which the total storage of vaccine with the states will be more than 30 million. The ministry said that out of 47.48 crore sent to the states so far, more than 44.74 crore doses have been used. At present, more than 2.88 crore doses are present in storage with the states, but after getting new consignments by Friday, this number will increase to more than 30 million. The ministry also informed that more than 43.73 lakh people have been given the vaccine in the last one day. So far, the number of people who have taken the vaccine in the country has exceeded 44.64 crore, out of which more than 9.69 crore people have completed the vaccination by taking both the doses. It is worth noting that the central government had also released a new consignment of corona vaccine to the states last week. In which more than 71 lakh vaccine doses were provided by the Center to the state governments. To meet the target of 12 crores in this month, the Center has done nine consignments so far.
