Uttarakhand / Joshimath : Hotel collapsed but no one died

A hotel collapsed on Saturday in Joshimath, Uttarakhand. It is noteworthy that it is raining continuously in Chamoli district here. Due to this the mountains are weakening and there is a danger of landslides in many places. The hotel which has collapsed today was located on Badrinath Highway. A portion of this three-storey hotel hotel collapsed due to a landslide at the bottom. However, there have been no casualties in this incident. In fact, anticipating the danger, this hotel was already evacuated.

It is worth noting that it has been raining continuously in Chamoli for the last few days. It rained incessantly here on Friday night as well. The mountains here have become weak due to these rains. A part of this hotel located near Jhadkula was also under threat. Anticipating the situation, the local police and the SDRF team were shocked. After this, an alert was declared here, vacating the hotel. This was the reason that despite the building collapse, there was no loss of life or property here.
Let us tell you that in Uttarakhand and Himachal, there are incidents of landslides and rock slips during the rainy season. On July 25, after a landslide in Kinnaur, stones fell on the tempo traveler, in which many tourists lost their lives.
