Uttar Pradesh / Moradabad : Illegal liquor making business continues in Moradabad’s Adarsh Colony, eight arrested in raids

After all the efforts of the police, the business of raw liquor is not stopping in Adarsh Colony. CO Civil Lines Indu Siddhartha raided Adarsh Colony along with Police and Excise team. During this, liquor kilns were found blazing in the colony. Eight people including two women were arrested from the spot.
CO Civil Lines Indu Siddhartha, Inspector-in-Charge Sahansarveer Singh, Excise Inspector Akhilesh Kumar reached Adarsh Colony with heavy police force. As soon as the police arrived here, there was a panic among the raw liquor makers. People started running away from homes. Police recovered six liquor-making furnaces from different houses of Adarsh Colony. Apart from this, fifty liters of raw liquor, 22 quintals of 50 kg canal, liquor making equipment etc. were recovered. CO Indu Siddharth said that the accused Vishwajeet, Tony, Bharat Singh, Samal Singh, Ranjeeta, Babita, Akash and Pushpendra Singh, resident of Jigar Colony have been arrested from the spot. The CO said that action has been taken against all the eight accused by registering a case under the Excise Act.
