Golden Victory Torch reaches Mayabunder in Andaman & Nicobar Islands

A joint military cycle operation of the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) reached Mayabunder on August 8, 2021 carrying a victory torch to commemorate the golden victory year. The cycle expedition team covered a distance of more than 300 kms in four days. Vijay Mashal was taken to the Government Senior Secondary School in Kishori Nagar, where he was received by district administration officials, ex-servicemen of the armed forces and the school principal. School children also presented a cultural program in the glory of Vijay Mashal. The Cycle Campaign team also gave an audio-visual presentation to make the children aware about India’s victory in the 1971 war. The cycle expedition team encouraged the children to join the armed forces and make adventure and sports an integral part of their lives. The team also presented mementos to ex-servicemen, school officials and children.

The cycle campaign will be completed on August 9, 2021 by reaching the sports stadium of Diglipur.
