Himachal Pradesh : GOC-in-C of Army Training Command calls on Governor

Lt Gen Raj Shukla, GOC-in-C, Army Training Command (RTK), paid a courtesy call on Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar at Raj Bhavan on Monday.
On this occasion, the Lieutenant General briefed the Governor about the activities related to ARTAC. He said that many defense training institutes have been opened in the country to train the youth in military services. He said that the country also has several academies and colleges to train professional soldiers in war command, military science and related technology, military strategies and techniques.
Shri Shukla said that the Army also has High Altitude Warfare School, which acts as the Army’s nodal instructional facility for specialized training and dissemination of accepted principles in mountain, altitude and snow warfare. It has also proved helpful in the developmental inputs of mountains, snow and high altitude warfare. He also discussed about the College of Combat/Army War College in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. He said that this institute develops and evaluates the concepts and principles for strategy, military system for the army. He invited the Governor to visit ARTAC.
