Indian Army team will participate in the International Military Games- 2021 to be held in Russia

A 101 member contingent of the Indian Army will leave for Russia to participate in the International Military Games-2021 from 22 August to 4 September 2021. The team has participated in various competitions in the Army Scout Masters Competition (ASMC), Elbrus Ring, Polar Star, Sniper Frontier and Safe Route Games, showcasing high mountain terrain, military action among buffs, sniper action, combat engineering skills in obstructed routes etc. will take part. The Army contingent will also contribute two observers (one each in both games) for the Open Water and Falcon Hunting Games, where the participating teams will demonstrate the skills of the pontoon bridge laying and UAV crew.
After three levels of screening, the Indian Army contingent is selected from among the best from the various wings of the Army. Participation in these annual games is a reflection of the professionalism of the Indian Army among the armies of the world. The competition also promotes military-to-military cooperation using the best practices of the participating countries. Earlier India was ranked first among the eight countries that participated in the Army Scouts Master Competition 2019 in Jaisalmer.
