Himachal Pradesh / Rajgarh : Chaila-Neripul-Yashwant Nagar road will be paved by the year 2025: Kaundal

The work of improvement of Chaila-Neripul-Yashwant Nagar-Kumharhatti road connecting the three districts is in progress, which is targeted to be completed by the year 2025. This information was given by Assistant Engineer Lonivi Rajgarh DS Kaundal through a press release issued on Saturday. Let us inform that the issue of the condition of this road was raised in the media by the people of Rasomandar area, on which a departmental statement has been issued.

SDO Kaundal clarified that due to heavy rains and overloaded traffic, potholes were formed at some places. which are being simultaneously repaired by the contractor. Drains that were closed due to rain are also being opened. Apart from this, the work of laying coal tar on the road is still closed due to rain, which will be started after the rains.

He said that the total length of the Chaila-Neripul-Yashwant Nagar-Kumharhatti road is about 85 km. Of which 42 km part comes under Rajgarh division. The remaining 43 km is under Theog, Solan and Kasauli divisions. Told that in the year 2019, an amount of 46 crores has been approved by the state government for the repair and maintenance work of this road. Told that this work was awarded in July 2020 and the road repair work has been started by the contractor in August 2020.

Kaundal informed that the period for completion of this road work has been fixed for 5 years, which will be completed in July 2025. In the first phase, the road protection work has been completed by the contractor. Apart from this, 30 km of wet-mix mechanism and coal tar laying work has been done till 9 km. The remaining work of paving the road will be started after the rains. Kaundal said that keeping in view the apple season, adequate machinery has been provided by the contractor at the site so that the traffic does not face any kind of inconvenience.
