Levante holds Real Madrid in draw, Atletico win again
Defending champions Atlético Madrid continued their good run, beating Elchi 1–0 in the Spanish Football League La Liga but Real Madrid were drawn to a 3–3 draw with Levante.
Levante had to play almost the last ten minutes without his main goalkeeper but he did not allow Real Madrid to take advantage of it. Atlético, on the other hand, became the first team this season to win both their first matches.
Levante’s goalkeeper Aitor Fernandes was shown the red card in the 87th minute. He was replaced by defender Rubén Vejo as goalkeeper as his team had already fielded five substitutes.
For Real Madrid, Gareth Bale scored the first goal in the fifth minute but was trailing on two occasions after halftime. In such a situation, Vinicius Junior scored in the 73rd and 85th minutes to give the team a point.
Roger Marty (46th), Jose Compana (57th) and Robber Pierre (79th) scored for Levante.
Angel Correa again played a key role in Atletico’s victory in the absence of Louis Suarez. Korea scored in the first half which proved decisive in the end. This is his third goal in two matches.
