Australia issues security alert for Kabul airport

Australia has advised its citizens in Afghanistan not to go to Kabul airport where there is a very serious threat of terrorist attack.
It said Australian citizens in airport premises are advised to move to a safer place and wait for further orders.
Australia’s Foreign Minister Marise Payne said the travel advisory was similar to the revised travel advisories of the UK and New Zealand. The US embassy in Kabul has warned US citizens to stay away from three specific airport gates over an unspecified security issue.
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said Australia had evacuated some 4,000 people from the airport since Wednesday last week, of whom 1,200 were evacuated last night.
He said, “There is a very dangerous environment.
Morrison said, the danger and risk is increasing with each passing day, as we always knew it will increase, and so we are moving forward with haste.
