On behalf of ‘Uttaranchal Punjabi Mahasabha’, officers of police and administration, doctors and voluntary organizations who contributed to the service work during the Corona period were honored with the Corona Warrior Award. Former then District Officer C. Ravi Shankar, SSP Senthil Abudai Krishnaraj S., SP City Kamlesh Upadhyay, CO Abhay Pratap Singh, CMO SK Jha, City Magistrate Jagdish Lal, then HRDA Secretary Lalit Narayan Mishra, in the honor ceremony organized at the hotel located in central Haridwar. DPS Principal Anupam Jagga, AIIMS Director Archana Jahel, Ramakrishna Mission Hospital’s Swami Nityashudhanand, Swami Dayadhipanand, BJP State President Madan Kaushik, Former Municipality President Satpal Brahmachari, Being Bhagirath Convenor Shikhar Paliwal, Traffic Police Constable Kalpana Gehlot along with Police, Administration and Police. The entire team of health workers and various social organizations were honored by presenting citation and Rudraksha garlands and wearing shawls. Addressing the function, BJP State President Madan Kaushik said that the police, administration, medical department and various social organizations made remarkable contribution in public service in the dire circumstances that arose during the Corona period. Corona could be controlled only with everyone’s cooperation. SSP Senthil Abudai and former District Officer C. Ravishankar said that during the Corona period, everyone made a commendable contribution in the service of the victims. He said that there is a possibility of third wave coming by the experts. Therefore, everyone should cooperate with the government by following the Kovid rules. Former Municipal President Satpal Brahmachari said that by honoring those who contributed in service work, other people and organizations would also be inspired. State General Secretary of Uttaranchal Punjabi Mahasabha Sunil Arora said that police, administration, medical departments, social organizations, political parties helped in corona control by setting an example of service. It was only with the cooperation of everyone that the loss of life in the second wave of Corona could be reduced. He said that it was the effort of Uttaranchal Punjabi Mahasabha that all the organizations who cooperate should be honored with a single platform. District President Pramod Pandhi and District General Secretary Ram Arora said that social service inspires others. Police administration and doctors contributed in saving lives of people during the Corona period. which is commendable. District President of Women’s Wing Kamini Sadana and City President Shalu Ahuja said that during the Corona period, women took care of the house and discharged their responsibility towards the society.
