More than 63 crore vaccines have been administered in the country so far

COVID-19 vaccination in India has crossed the critical milestone of 63 crores. According to the report, with 73,85,866 vaccines being administered in the last twenty four hours, it has crossed 63.09 crores. This target of vaccination has been achieved through 67,80,301 sessions. The Central Government is committed to accelerate the pace of COVID-19 vaccination across the country and widen its scope. With the recovery of 35,840 corona-infected patients in the last 24 hours, the total number of cured patients (since the start of the epidemic) has increased to 3,18,88,642. The recovery rate has reached 97.53 percent. As a result of continuous and cooperative efforts of the Center and the States and Union Territories, less than 50,000 new daily cases are being reported continuously for the last 63 days. India has reported 45,083 daily new cases in the last 24 hours.

Currently the active cases are 3,68,558. Active cases currently account for 1.13 per cent of the total positive cases in the country. The COVID testing capacity across the country is continuously increasing significantly. In the last 24 hours, 17,55,327 samples were tested in the country. In all, more than 51.86 crore tests have been conducted in India so far. On one hand, while the COVID testing capacity has been increased across the country, the weekly positivity rate has remained below 3 per cent for the last 65 days, down from 2.28 per cent currently. The daily positivity rate currently stands at 2.57 percent. The daily positivity rate has remained below 3 per cent for the last 34 days and below 5 per cent for 83 consecutive days.
