Corona vaccine: People’s uproar for not applying second dose
People created a ruckus when the second dose of corona vaccine was not applied in the vaccination camp organized at Arya Kanya Inter College in Kotdwar. About 150 people returned after waiting for hours. On Saturday, the Health Department organized a vaccination camp for all classes at Arya Kanya Inter College. Since 7 o’clock in the morning, people were waiting for their turn by waiting in line.
The health workers reached the camp at around 9 in the morning and started applying the vaccine one by one by distributing tokens to the people on the line. However, health workers refused to vaccinate people who had received the second dose of the vaccine. On this, the patience of the people who were waiting for the vaccine for hours broke and they started creating a ruckus. But, their uproar had no effect. Health workers categorically refused to apply the vaccine, citing the orders of the higher authorities. During this many people were seen without masks.
OP Barthwal, Kewal Ram, Savitri Devi, Pankaj Sharma, Shalini Rawat, who arrived to apply the vaccine, accused the Health Department of misleading people. Said that while giving information about the camp, he was not informed about not applying the vaccine to the other doses nor was any kind of information pasted in the camp. Around 150 people were lined up to apply the second dose from 7 am onwards. When his number came after waiting for hours, the health workers flatly refused to apply the second dose.
Priority is being given to those who put the first dose in the vaccination camps. Due to lack of vaccine at Arya Kanya Inter College, Kotdwar, people were given the first dose.
