Uttarakhand : Chief Secretary inspected Kedarnath reconstruction works
Dehradun. Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. On Friday, Sandhu prayed for the prosperity of the state after having darshan of Lord Kedarnath. On this occasion, the Chief Secretary also inspected the Kedarnath reconstruction works. He directed to expedite the works with better quality. The Chief Secretary directed to ensure the adequacy of manpower, machinery and material required to speed up the works. He said that to speed up the works, the achievement should be reviewed regularly by setting weekly targets. The Chief Secretary directed the Forest Department to make attractive plantations on the hills on both sides of Kedar Puri. He also talked to the labor working there, the Chief Secretary also instructed the officers to make proper arrangements for the workers. Along with the development of Chorabari trek route, he directed to expeditiously work on forest clearance to clear the old route from Garud Chatti to Rambara. The Chief Secretary also inspected the under construction Shankaracharya Samadhi site. He also took stock of the under-construction bridge connecting Kedarnath Garuda Chatti and the buildings being built in the hill style, the bathing ghats being built at the confluence of the Mandakini and Saraswati rivers. The Chief Secretary directed the officers present there to complete the construction works in speed and time as well as maintain the quality of works. The Chief Secretary directed to ensure all necessary arrangements for a systematic and safe Chardham Yatra. Tourism Secretary Dilip Jawalkar and District Magistrate Rudraprayag were also present on the occasion.
