Forest Minister Dr. Harak Singh inaugurated Uttarakhand Adventure Fest

With an aim to promote adventure sports in Uttarakhand, the two-day Uttarakhand Adventure Fest has begun. The festival was inaugurated on Sunday by Environment and Forest Minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat as the chief guest. On Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj will be present in the closing ceremony. Uttarakhand Adventure Fest has been organized by the Tourism Department in collaboration with FICCI (FLO) at the Solitaire Farm located at Mussoorie Road Malsi. Chief Guest Forest Minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. He said that there is a lot of potential for adventure tourism in Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand does not benefit financially from religious tourism as much as Uttarakhand is benefited by eco-tourism and adventure tourism. He said that from every point of view, trekking, river rafting, para gliding etc. have more potential for adventure tourism. The Forest Minister said that we have the possibility of adventure better than many countries of the world including Europe. The problems are being solved jointly by the Forest Department and the Tourism Department. The minister said that we realized that after COVID, once again people are coming towards the mountain. The possibilities will increase with such events. Earlier, the Chief Guest was welcomed by Secretary Tourism Dilip Jawalkar by presenting a bunch of flowers.
