Chhattisgarh : 15 lakh looted in broad daylight from Indian Bank Durg cashier
Robbers in numbers of three to four carried out the incident
After a major robbery incident in Durg city of Chhattisgarh today, people of the city are in panic. A bag containing Rs 15 lakh has been looted from the cashier of Indian Bank under Mohan Nagar police station area at 10:30 am today. Police said that bank cashiers were taking money from one branch to another. On the way, three to four accused laid siege and looted the bag. As soon as the information was received by the police, the search for the accused has been started.
According to police sources, around 10:30 am today, Indian Bank Ujala Bhawan branch cashier Rahul Chauhan had left for the Indian branch at Kasardih with Rs 15 lakh. Around 10:30 am, bank cashier Rahul Chauhan was surrounded by robbers in number of three to four near Pol Sai Para Durg. They fled after snatching the bag full of money. As soon as the information was received, there was a stir in the police department. The search for the absconding robbers has been started immediately. Detailed information is being taken from bank cashier Rahul Chauhan regarding the incident. After two and a half hours of the incident, the police have not got any clue regarding the accused. At present, a case has been registered against the unknown accused by the Mohan Nagar police and has been taken up for investigation.
