The total coverage of Kovid-19 vaccination in India reached over 96.43 crores
With the introduction of 50,63,845 vaccine doses in 24 hours, the country’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached close to 96.43 crore (96,43,79,212) as of 7 am today. This was accomplished through 94,26,400 sessions.
With the recovery of 22,844 patients in the last 24 hours, there has been an increase in the total number of patients recovering (since the onset of the epidemic), which is currently 3,33,42,901.
As a result, the current rate of recovery from COVID in India is currently 98.06 percent, which is the highest rate since March 2020.
For 108 consecutive days, less than 50 thousand daily cases are coming. This is the result of concerted and sustained efforts of the Center and the States/UTs.
A total of 15,823 new cases were reported daily in the last 24 hours.
The number of active cases at present is 2,07,653, which is the lowest in 214 days. Active cases currently account for 0.61 percent of the total positive cases in the country. The testing capacity in the country is being continuously increased, under which a total of 13,25,399 tests were conducted in the country during the last 24 hours. India has so far done more than 58.63 crore (58,63,63,442) samples for COVID testing.
On one hand the testing capacity was increased across the country, on the other hand the weekly positivity rate is currently 1.46 percent, which has remained below 3 percent in the last 110 days. The daily positivity rate is 1.19 percent. That too has remained below three per cent for the last 44 days and below five per cent for 127 consecutive days.
