During the said visit, during the inspection in the women’s barracks and men’s barracks in the District Jail, Dehradun, it was asked from the prisoners that if a prisoner has not been appointed or is unable to appoint a lawyer to defend his case. He can get free advocate for his case by submitting an application to the District Legal Services Authority.
