Uttarakhand / Kashipur: Fearing slander, two youths brutally murdered a friend, severed their head
In Kashipur, Uttarakhand, two friends brutally murdered their own friend Vishal in a rivalry to provoke a friend’s wife and defame her by calling her a drug addict. On Thursday, the police revealed the huge murder case. The police arrested both of them and recovered the mobile used in the incident and the mobile of the deceased. After the post-mortem, the body (torso) of the deceased has been handed over to the relatives, while his head and one hand have not been found yet.
On Thursday, SP Pramod Kumar at ITI police station said that on November 19, Rajkumar, a resident of Dhimarkheda village of ITI police station area, had given a complaint at Paiga Chowki. It was said that his 21-year-old son Vishal had gone missing on the 18th. He had feared something untoward. The SP also engaged the SOG with the ITI police station for the recovery of Vishal.
The footage of several CCTV cameras was scanned and the CDR of his mobile was extracted. Meanwhile, the police came to know that before going missing, Vishal was seen with Sandeep Singh, a resident of Khokhratal Dhimarkheda and Sachin alias Nannu, a resident of Dikshanagar Dhimarkheda. On the basis of suspicion, the police strictly interrogated Sandeep and Sachin, then both broke down.
He exposed this incident. Told that both of them had called Vishal to Dhimarkheda on 18 November. After that he took her to Rajpura Dam. There he killed him by cutting off his hand and head. The dead body was buried in the swamp one and a half kilometer away from the spot. On Wednesday, the police recovered Vishal’s body on the behest of the accused.
SP Pramod Kumar said that the accused have also pressed their hands and head around the spot, but even after searching a lot, hands and head have not been recovered so far. Missing has been converted into sections 364, 302, 201 and 120B. According to the police, Sandeep told during interrogation that the deceased Vishal, Nannu and all three of them were friends. Vishal mostly lived with Sandeep.
For a few days, Vishal was defaming Sandeep by calling him a drug addict. He had also told Sandeep’s wife that he was a drug addict. At the same time, he was instigating Sandeep’s wife against him. Used to say that Sandeep is not a good man, he is a drug addict. You made a mistake by marrying Sandeep. It was better than your first husband. He also had a fight with his wife about this matter.
All these things of Vishal made Sandeep suspicious that now perhaps his second wife will also leave him. He got so annoyed with Vishal that he along with Nannu hatched a plan to kill him. On November 18, Sandeep and Nannu called Vishal to Dhimarkheda on the pretext. Later, he was taken on a bike and taken to Rajpura Dam, where they killed him by slitting his throat and hand with a patel.
SP Pramod Kumar said that the help of dog squad is being taken to recover the head and hands of the deceased. So far nothing has been found. The recovery of the head and hands is important in the case, so both the accused will be interrogated again after taking remand from the court for recovery. He said that in the case it is clear that the torso is of the deceased Vishal, yet if the need arises, the DNA test of the deceased will also be done.
