Uttarakhand: Chief Minister Dhami gifted Anganwadi workers, welcomed the CM by wearing a silver crown

The state government has given food grains along with insurance to more than 33 thousand Anganwadi workers. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced this in his gratitude ceremony organized by the Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development and Anganwadi workers at Sanatan Dharma Inter College Race Course on Monday.

2 lakh annual accident insurance policy
He said that an annual accident insurance policy of two lakh would be provided to all Anganwadi workers. Apart from this, people to whom the National Food Security Act is not applicable, will be provided 20 kg food grains every month from December 2021 to March 2022. The Chief Minister said that the monthly honorarium of Anganwadi workers would be given digitally directly in their account. Apart from this, 25% posts of Anganwadi workers will be filled from such Anganwadi assistants, who have completed 10 years of satisfactory service in the department and who fulfill the required educational qualification for this.

The Chief Minister said that Re 1 which had to be paid for sanitary napkins would also be provided free of cost by the Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development through Anganwadi centers. The Chief Minister said that mother power has a big role in the construction of Uttarakhand, many works are being done by the state government in the direction of women empowerment. The Chief Minister said that the State Government has tried to repay the loans of Anganwadi workers by increasing their honorarium. Everyone knows very well how Anganwadi workers work in adverse conditions. The Chief Minister said that the elementary education of both his children was also done in the Anganwadi center itself.

The Chief Minister said that after the Corona period, the income resources with the government have decreased, but despite this, the government did not skimp in increasing the honorarium. The government released a Kovid relief package of Rs 119 crore to strengthen the women of the state engaged in livelihood. Apart from this, the government has increased the honorarium of employees working in all departments including Asha, Upanal.

Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya said that Anganwadi workers play an important role in various activities in the state. All possible work is being done by the state government in the interest of Anganwadi sisters. Many schemes are being run by the Central and State Governments in the field of women and child development. In the last five years, considering the Anganwadi centers as the pivot of health and nutrition at the village level, many facilities such as gas cylinders, drinking water, toilets, sanitation kits, pre school kits, medicine kits and kitchen gardens have been provided in the Anganwadi centres. As a result of the strong and active presence of Anganwadi workers at the village level, nutrition is provided to about 9 lakh beneficiaries every month through Anganwadi centers.

Sainik Dham construction works reviewed
At the same time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Purukul on Monday, the proposed place for Sainik Dham. Here he inspected the construction works. During this, he directed the Principal Secretary, Military Welfare and the District Magistrate of Dehradun to expedite the construction works.
