Israel’s Prime Minister to pay his first official visit to UAE on Sunday

JERUSALEM, Dec 12 (AP) Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has announced that he will visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday for his first official visit. According to him, it is part of a broader regional diplomacy in the backdrop of the struggle for nuclear talks with Iran.
Naftali Bennett’s office said he would hold a meeting with the Crown Prince of the UAE (Yuvraj) Mohamed bin Zayed and discuss strengthening economic and military ties.
This will be the first visit by an Israeli Prime Minister to the UAE. Israel and the UAE have long had secret security cooperation, but last year’s US-mediated ‘Abraham Treaty’ established formal ties between the two countries.
