Uttarakhand / Ramnagar : ICICI Foundation is providing training on Maduway

Three days training was given from 19-12-2021 to 21-12-2021 in village Bhagwabangar
The foundation has been operating various projects for the last 5 years with the aim of promoting the economic and social status of poor farmers and women of Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. In order to strengthen the economic condition of the poor farmers, a three-day training program was organized on the subject of Maduva cultivation and processing in Bhagwabangar village of Ramnagar. In this training program conducted from Sunday, 30 poor farmers were motivated to take up the cultivation of Maduwe naturally.
Under the leadership of Gaurav Gajraula, an organic trainer from the Department of Agriculture nominated by the Foundation, the farmers were educated about the importance of organic compost, such as vermi compost, nadef compost, liquid insecticide, organic certification and cultivation of Maduwe and the products made from it, and from this self-employment. Detailed information was provided on the areas. Practical information on Azolla cultivation was provided by the trainer as well as detailed information was shared on the importance of poultry farming, fisheries and animal husbandry.
The foundation is also working on providing training on the above subject in other villages of Ramnagar block. The training programs on behalf of the Foundation are being conducted by Development Officer Dheeraj Bhatt and Facilitator Amit Singh. On the last day of training, Block Mission Manager of Ramnagar block, Dr. Srivastava and other officers were present.
