Telangana / Hyderabad : Hindu youth was beaten to death on the road for marrying a Muslim girl

In Hyderabad last evening, a young man going home on a bike with his wife was beaten to death with an iron rod. The whole incident was caught on camera. Police say the 25-year-old car salesman was thrashed to death by his Muslim wife’s brother and relatives. B Nagaraju and Syed Ashrin Sultana got married three months ago against the wishes of their family.
At around 8.45 pm on Wednesday, the couple had just left the house on their bikes when two men stopped them, dragged Nagaraju and attacked him with iron rods and knives. It can be seen in the security footage that the crowd was rapidly gathering at the spot but no one was trying to stop them. Many people were capturing the incident on camera with their mobile phones.
Nagaraju soon appeared lifeless, his head covered in blood, his wife screaming for help. In one video, Sultana is seen watching an assailant trying to stop another attack on Nagraj. After this the people present there attacked the attackers, after which they fled from there. Sultana later identified the attacker as his brother.
It was all over in a few seconds. Nagaraju died on a busy road, but no one could save him.
Talking to the media today, Sultana said, ‘They killed my husband in the middle of the road. Five people attacked. My brother and others were involved. There was no one to help us. I begged everyone. They killed him in front of my eyes. If people could not do anything, why did they come? He only saw. It happens in front of their eyes, someone is killed, people can’t see? I fell on him so that I could save him. But he turned me away. They hit him with iron rods and broke his head.
The attackers fled but were caught on video from security cameras and mobile phones recorded by eyewitnesses. Police have formed teams to nab the killers seen on camera.
Nagaraju and Sultana got married on 31 January in Arya Samaj. They had known each other since class 10th, but their family was against marrying outside their religion.
