Uttarakhand: Six girl students found corona infected together in Welham Girls School, Dehradun, became a micro-containment zone

In Welham Girls School, the school has been declared a micro-containment area after six girl students were found to be corona infected simultaneously. There will be a ban on the movement of outsiders in the school till further orders. It is noteworthy that in Welham Girls School located in Dalanwala area, corona infection was confirmed in six girl students.
To prevent the spread of corona infection, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Manoj Upreti had requested the District Magistrate to declare this area as a Containment or Micro Containment Zone. On the report of the Chief Medical Officer, District Magistrate Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar has declared Welham Girls School as a Micro Containment Zone under the Uttarakhand Epidemic COVID-19 Regulations-2020, Epidemic Act 1897 and Disaster Management Act-2005.
At the same time, on Wednesday also, the team of Health Department went to the school and gave necessary guidelines to the management. Also asked about the well being of the girls. Apart from this, samples of other girl students, teachers and staff who came in contact with the infected girl students are also being taken for corona examination. CMO Dr. Manoj Upreti informed that the team of Health Department will inspect the school on Thursday also.
