Uttarakhand / Bajpur: The miscreants shot the bank branch manager in a car returning from duty

The branch manager of The Nainital Bank returning from duty was shot by miscreants. The manager was admitted to the CHC, from where the doctors have referred him to STH Haldwani. Till the filing of this report, the case has not been registered.

Vivek Yadav, a resident of Dehradun, is a manager in the branch of Nainital Bank located in village Barhaini, Bajpur. He was returning in his car (No. UK 38K/1851) after closing the bank branch at around 6 pm on Tuesday. The miscreants tried to stop his car near village sample at a distance of three km. The miscreants shot Vivek Yadav for not stopping the car. His car was unbalanced after being shot in the back above the hip. Two bike riders were injured when the car collided.

Later he stopped the car on the side of the road. The accused fled after committing the crime. Hearing the sound of firing, people rushed to the spot and on information, 108 ambulances took the manager to the Community Health Center. On information, CO Vandana Verma and Kotwal Praveen Singh Koshyari reached the CHC with the police force. The CO gathered information regarding the incident from the injured Vivek. He was referred to STH, Haldwani when his condition became critical. Vivek lives with his family in Pahari Colony. He is originally a resident of Sambhal (UP).

CO Vandana Verma said that there is no information about the attackers yet. Information is being gathered regarding the incident. It is not yet clear whether the crime was committed with the intention of robbery, or if there was any rivalry behind it. There is an atmosphere of panic among the people due to the firing incident for the second time within a fortnight.
