Gujarat wicket-keeper batsman Wade was reprimanded for violating the IPL code of conduct. According to IPL, “Wade pleaded guilty to a Level I offense and punishment under Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct. The decision of the match referee for a Level 1 breach of the Code of Conduct is final.
The statement did not give any reason for the violation, but Wade’s leg-before was controversial and even Virat Kohli expressed sympathy for him. Wade was convinced that Glenn Maxwell’s ball had touched his bat before it hit his pad, and therefore did not delay in resorting to the Decision Review System (DRS) when given out.
In ‘Ultraage’, however, it was not clear and the third umpire left the on-field umpire’s decision. This Australian cricketer then showed his anger by going to the dugout and then in the dressing room.
