On the defeat of the BJP candidate in the by-election to the Bochahan assembly seat of Muzaffarpur, CM Nitish had said that it is a minor thing. CM Nitish said that we had gone to Bochahan to campaign for the NDA candidate. The reason for the defeat there is not fully known. Whereas the BJP’s defeat in Bochahan made it clear that the Bhumihar and Brahmin society of Bihar is angry with the BJP. After the election results came, the leaders of Bhumihar society had openly said that whatever respect they give, they will go with them. After this election result, senior BJP leader like Sushil Kumar Modi had to tell what good his party has done for Bhumihar society.

That is, on the defeat of which BJP is worried, Nitish Kumar kept trying not to show seriousness at all. All these incidents have led to speculation that Nitish Kumar’s closeness to the Lalu family is increasing. However, after coming out of jail, Lalu Prasad Yadav had said that there is no such thing as Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav forming the government together at the moment.
