Bihar : Rabri Devi lost her cool, slapped RJD worker protesting outside her house

Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi lost her cool on Friday and slapped an RJD worker. The activist was protesting outside Rabri residence in Patna when CBI raids were on. The CBI team conducted a search operation for 6 hours, registering a new case in the matter of writing land in lieu of job in the Railways.

A large number of RJD workers had gathered outside Rabri Devi’s 10 Circular Road residence since morning against the CBI raid. They were continuously raising slogans and protests against the investigating agency and the central government. When officials of the investigating agency tried to move out of the Korabari residence in the evening, they faced opposition from party workers.

Patna Police also had to struggle to disperse the protesting crowd. In the video, Rabri Devi is seen coming out to pacify the party workers, who were creating a ruckus and preventing the CBI team from leaving. However, during this suddenly he lost his cool and slapped one worker after another.

Rabri Devi’s elder son Tej Pratap was also present at the time of the incident. Both the senior leaders together tried to convince the protesting activists and eventually they backed down and then went somewhere and let the CBI team go. Rabri Devi has been made an accused in a fresh case registered by the CBI in connection with giving job in lieu of land to her husband Lalu Prasad Yadav during his tenure as Railway Minister.

According to the CBI FIR, the names of Lalu-Rabri’s two daughters Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav are also included in the list of 17 accused. It is alleged that from 2008 to 2009, when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Railway Minister, many properties were given to the Yadav family in lieu of a job in the Railways. The CBI launched a search operation early Friday morning at 16 locations in Delhi, Patna and Gopalganj linked to the accused and questioned Rabri Devi for 12 hours in the case.
