Uttarakhand : SDM asked for police protection, said – BJP MLA threatened to kill him

Most of the BJP ruled states of the country are looting applause by running bulldozers against encroachment. Meanwhile, the news that has come out from BJP ruled Uttarakhand has raised serious questions on the BJP and its leaders. In Uttarkashi, Purola SDM SS Saini has lodged a police complaint against local BJP MLA Durgeshwar Lal. The SDM has alleged that the MLAs are trying to defame him on social media and are threatening to kill him. The SDM has demanded his safety from the police citing danger to his life.

It is being told that this whole matter is related to the encroachment campaign. SDM Saini, in his complaint lodged at Purola Police Station, has alleged that through Durgeshwar Lal Krishna, a BJP MLA, misleading social media posts were uploaded against him to malign his image. According to reports, the MLAs were upset with the SDM for running an anti-encroachment drive in their jurisdiction.

The SDM has also accused the BJP MLA of pressurizing him to get “unnecessary work” done. The SDM said that if anything untoward happens to him, then the entire responsibility will be of the BJP MLA. The MLA has also lodged a complaint against it with the police. Police say that they are investigating the whole matter.
