Sourav Ganguly hints at starting a new innings, tweet fuels speculation
Former Indian cricket team captain and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has indicated to start a new innings. He has tweeted that in 2022, he has completed 30 years of joining cricket. During this time cricket has given him a lot. I want to thank everyone who has been with us on this journey. Today I am planning to start a new innings so that I can help as many people as possible. I hope all of you will continue to cooperate in future also.

It is worth noting that BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had a meeting with Amit Shah recently. Since then there was speculation that he would join BJP. There was speculation about Ganguly joining the BJP even before the assembly elections held in Bengal last year. But during that time his health suddenly deteriorated. After which those speculations were put to an end. On speculation of joining BJP and attending dinner with Amit Shah, Ganguly had said that I have known Amit Shah since 2008. I used to meet him even while playing. There is nothing more than this.
Here, experts believe that there is a preparation to send Saurabh Ganguly to the Rajya Sabha from the BJP side. There is also a possibility that the former Indian captain can be nominated by the President for the Rajya Sabha. However, when he had deteriorated last year, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also met him to know his well being. In such a situation, the big question is whether Ganguly will be ready to become the face of BJP in Bengal?
