PM is attending the foundation stone laying ceremony, will also visit the native village of President Kovind
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the 3rd Ground Breaking Ceremony (GBC) of the Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit (UP Investors Summit) today. According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the Prime Minister will reach Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow at around 11 am on Friday. Where he will participate in the third ground breaking ceremony of the UP Investor Conference. During the ground breaking ceremony, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of 1406 projects worth over Rs 80,000 crore. Apart from this, PM Modi will also visit the native village of President Kovind.

According to a government statement, the country’s eminent industrialists Gautam Adani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Niranjan Hiranandani and Matthew Iries will also share their views in the program. On the initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, investment proposals worth Rs 4,68, 000 crore had come in the investors’ conference in 2018, after which the first and second are now going to be the third GBC.
In the third GBC, investment proposals of 80 thousand crores are coming on the ground. According to the official release issued here, 805 projects will be set up in the MSME sector. After which 275 projects will be in the agriculture sector and allied industries and 65 projects for pharma and medical supplies.
Apart from this, six projects worth Rs 1,183 crore related to education, seven projects related to dairy worth Rs 489 crore, six projects related to animal husbandry worth Rs 224 crore are also included in this. Highest 14.2 percent in the country, 90 lakh MSMEs are in the state. In the third GBC, MSME projects worth 4459 crores are being set up in the state. Majorly two in Agra, three in Aligarh, two in Amethi, one in Ayodhya, seven in Barabanki, two in Bareilly, one in Chandauli, one in Etawah, two in Fatehpur, one in Firozabad, 40 in Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad. Six in Gorakhpur, four in Hardoi, one in Hathras, one in Jaunpur, four in Kanpur Dehat, four in Kanpur Nagar, one in Lakhimpur Kheri, eight in Lucknow, 15 in Mathura, one in Meerut, one in Moradabad, Prayagraj Projects are being taken up at other places including one in Saharanpur, one in Shahjahanpur, one in Sitapur and two in Varanasi with regard to the investment cost of these upcoming projects in the state, it was told that these include seven data centers worth Rs 19,928 crore, agriculture and allied industries worth Rs 11,297 crore, IT and electronics worth Rs 7,876 crore, and Rs 6,632 crore. 13 infrastructure projects and manufacturing projects worth Rs 6,227 crore.
From the university to the dairy plant, the third ground-breaking ceremony, going to be held on Friday, is being held. According to an official statement, Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla, Adani Group Chairman and Managing Director Gautam Adani, ITC Ltd Chairman and Managing Director Sanjeev Puri, Hiranandani Group Managing Director Niranjan Hiranandani, Jindal Group Chairman and Management Director Sajjan Jindal, Lulu Group Managing Director Yusuf Ali, VP Air Liquide’s Matthew Iries among others.
It is to be noted that the ‘UP Investors Summit 2018’ was held on February 21-22, 2018, while the first ‘Ground Breaking Ceremony’ was held on July 29, 2018 and the second ‘Ground Breaking Ceremony’ on July 28, 2019. During the first ground breaking ceremony, 81 projects worth more than Rs 61,500 crore were laid and 290 projects worth more than Rs 67,000 crore were laid in the second ground breaking ceremony.
According to the statement of the PMO, the Prime Minister will reach Paraunkh village in Kanpur at around 2.45 pm, where he will visit Pathri Mata Temple along with President Ram Nath Kovind. After this, at around two o’clock in the afternoon, he will go to Dr. BR Ambedkar Bhavan. The Prime Minister will also visit President Kovind’s ancestral home “Milan Kendra”. His house was donated for public use, which was later converted into a community center (Milan Kendra). PM Modi will also attend a public function in Paraunkh village.
Tight security arrangements have been made at the venue and a large number of police forces have been deployed. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself is keeping an eye on the arrangements for this grand event. A government official said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath went there on Friday to take stock of the preparations for the program to be held in Kanpur countryside of the President and the Prime Minister and spoke to the officials about the entire program, the official said, adding that Chief Minister Adityanath on Thursday night Had dinner with some industry stalwarts at the government residence.
