Great enthusiasm for Chardham Yatra, more than 15 lakh devotees have visited
The number of devotees in Chardham Yatra 2022 in Uttarakhand is breaking the record. Chardham Yatra started from 3rd May. If we look at the figures, so far 15 lakh 38 thousand 413 devotees have visited Chardham. Most devotees have reached Badrinath Dham, where 5 lakh 24 thousand (5,24,734) pilgrims have taken the blessings of Badri Vishal.
The world famous Kedarnath Dham has broken all the records. For the first time in Kedarnath Dham, 5 lakh pilgrims have visited Baba Kedar in a month. In the year 2019 before Corona, where one million devotees had reached during the 6-month travel season, this time more than 5 lakh devotees have reached in just one month. In such a situation, it can be estimated that this time more than 10 lakh devotees will reach Kedarnath and there is still five months’ journey left. Number of pilgrims in Kedarnath and Badrinath: 5,06,407 pilgrimages in Kedarnath since May 6 till now The passengers have visited. Till 4 pm today, 18,839 Baba has taken Kedar’s blessings. On the other hand, since May 8 in Badrinath Dham, 5,24,734 pilgrims have taken the blessings of Badri Vishal. Talking about today, 21,499 devotees had visited till 4 pm. In such a situation, the total number of pilgrims reaching Badrinath and Kedarnath has reached 10,31,141.
Number of pilgrims in Gangotri and Yamunotri: From May 3 till today, 2,89,370 pilgrims have visited Gangotri Dham and 2,17,902 in Yamunotri Dham. Talking about today, 8,656 pilgrims paid obeisance in Gangotri and 7,617 in Yamunotri. In such a situation, the number of pilgrims reaching Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham has reached 5,07,272. On the other hand, on May 22, the doors of Hemkund Sahib were opened. So far 29,212 devotees have paid obeisance at Gurdwara Shri Hemkund Sahib.
The journey to Kedarnath Dham is quite difficult. One has to reach here by climbing a steep climb. Pilgrims traveling in the mountains need to take special care. There is difficulty in breathing while walking. On coming to high altitude, there is a problem of oxygen, in such a situation, incidents like heart attack decrease. Pilgrims are being instructed to get their health check-up done before starting their journey on foot. Passengers are being appealed not to take risk to the patients of heart diseases. Along with this, they are being asked to travel intermittently.
Pilgrims should reach the Dham with their medicines. Apart from this, the pilgrims who come to Kedarnath, they stop eating and drinking after coming on faith, due to which the pilgrims face problems. Pilgrims should not do this. He said that the pilgrims should come with medicines, warm clothes as well as complete arrangements before coming on the yatra. An order has been issued to stop the passengers going on the journey. Under which the police is now checking the registration of passengers at the check posts made on the travel routes. At the same time, those who have not registered are being sent back.
