Uttarakhand / Haridwar : Three prizes absconding for 10 months arrested, sent to jail
Three prizes who were absconding for ten months have been arrested by the police. All three were accused of attempting to kill a young man by taking him hostage. Due to the matter being related to the enmity going on between the two sides of the village, a huge crowd gathered outside the Gangnahar Kotwali. The police removed the villagers gathered outside the police station.
The woman, resident of Sarkadi village, Ganganahar Kotwali area, had given a complaint and told that her family’s rivalry was going on from the Afzal side of the village. One matter is also pending in the court. On 10 August 2021, Afzal, along with his comrades, attacked his house armed with sharp weapons. Somehow the family members had saved their lives from the attackers. Police reached the spot after getting information. After this, on 15 May 2021, his son Sameer was beaten up by the Afzal side by abusing him on the way. Not only this, these accused had locked the son in the room with the intention of killing him. On getting information about the matter, the members of the family had somehow freed the son with the help of the villagers. Inspector in-charge of Kotwali Aishwarya Pal said that in this case, a case was registered against Afzal, Wasid, Shahid and Danish, residents of Sarkari village, under other sections including assault. The police was continuously raiding the search of the accused. Attachment proceedings were also implemented in this case by the police. When the accused could not be caught, a reward of Rs 10,000 each was placed on them. After an information, the police team has arrested three prizes Afzal, Wasid and Shahid.
