Captain Rohit Sharma said on recovery from COVID- I do not know what will happen next, but all is well with me now

Indian team’s full-time captain Rohit Sharma is going to be seen in action in the three-match T20 series against England starting on July 7. The Indian captain has recovered from COVID and is ready to return. However, he was not a part of the rescheduled Test match against England due to being found to be COVID positive, in which India also lost by 7 wickets.

Rohit Sharma said on the eve of the first T20I that he has recovered from COVID-19 and is feeling better. The all-format captain said that he was facing difficulties for the first two days after coming back positive and added that the impact of COVID varies from player to player.

Rohit led India in a 4-day warm-up match against Leicestershire in June, but the Indian captain did not take the field on the third day. After which there were speculations that maybe Rohit was injured. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that Rohit was found to be COVID-19 positive on 25 June.

Even before the start of the series against England, Rohit was not expected to play in the first T20. But because he didn’t play in the Test match, the star opener said that he opted to play T20Is. Significantly, the team’s star players Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumran, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja have not been selected for the first match.
