Jharkhand / Jamshedpur : Daughter got her father murdered by giving her a diamond ring, Kanhaiya Singh got a dreadful punishment for interrupting ‘childhood love’
Kanhaiya Singh, brother-in-law of former MLA Arvind Singh, resident of Hariom Nagar of Adityapur police station area adjacent to Jamshedpur, was murdered by real daughter Aparna Singh. Aparna gave her diamond ring in betel nut to remove her father who had become a hindrance in love. The police have arrested Aparna Singh, her boyfriend Rajveer Singh and shooter Nikhil Gupta, the minor son of Seraikela-Kharsawan District Congress President Chhotarai Kisku, involved in the murder. At the same time, the police are searching for two other accused who are absconding.
Disclosing the massacre in Adityapur Auto Cluster on Friday, SP Anand Prakash of Seraikela-Kharsawan district said that a boy named Rajveer Singh was having a love affair with the deceased’s daughter Aparna for five years, against which Kanhaiya Singh was constantly opposing. Kanhaiya Singh also used to scold Aparna and Rajveer Singh and his family were threatened. But, the girl continued the love affair with Rajveer. After this, Kanhaiya Singh again called Rajveer to his office and threatened him with a pistol on the temple. The family members of Rajveer were also lynched by Kanhaiya Singh.
The lover was forced to talk again by threatening suicide
Due to the fear of Kanhaiya Singh, Rajveer Singh’s father sold the house of Manjhi Tola at throwaway price and started living in a rented house in Mango. Rajveer also left the conversation with the girl out of fear. After which Aparna sent a dialogue and asked Rajveer to talk, still did not talk. Then Aparna sent the boy to make a video of him eating rat medicine to scare him. Seeing this, Rajveer got scared and told his father. After this incident, Rajveer again started talking to Aparna. On knowing about this, Kanhaiya Singh once again threatened Rajveer.
Shooter Nikhil Gupta, troubled by Kanhaiya Singh’s abusing, supported Rajveer
Meanwhile, when he shared this with his friend Nikhil Gupta of Manjhi Tola, shooter Nikhil Gupta said that Kanhaiya Singh abuses him when he travels through that road. Then Nikhil also agreed to take revenge. Here, Aparna started informing her lover Rajveer about every activity of her father Kanhaiya Singh.

On June 20, Rajveer Singh came to know through Aparna that Kanhaiya Singh had gone to Sonpur in Bihar. Then lover Rajveer, shooter Nikhil and his friend Chhotarai Kisku’s son went to Sonpur. In Patna, Chhotarai Kisku’s son contacted a smuggler and provided weapons. The trio then reached Sonpur from the WhatsApp location shared by Aparna and tried to kill Kanhaiya Singh, but failed due to the crowd. When Kanhaiya Singh did not get a chance to attack, he returned to Jamshedpur.
5 thousand rupees cash, liquor bottle and diamond ring
After this, again on the night of 29th, Arpana informed Rajveer about the return of her father. After which he sent Nikhil Gupta and his two associates to get Kanhaiya Singh killed. For the murder of Kanhaiya Singh, boyfriend Rajveer Singh gave Rs 5000 cash, a bottle of liquor and a diamond ring to shooter Nikhil Gupta. This diamond ring was given by Arpana, daughter of the deceased Kanhaiya Singh, to her boyfriend Rajveer.
Love happened between both of them while studying together in DAV
Both studied in DAV Public School NIT Campus. Five years ago, Rajveer was studying in class X and Aparna was studying in class VIII at that time. At that time both of them fell in love. Kanhaiya Singh came to know about everything three years ago. After which he intimidated both his daughter Aparna and the accused boy. But, at the same time, both of them had decided that only after the death of the father, the two could be united. Presently talks were going on for marriage. After which the murder conspiracy was hatched.
The murderer’s father was agitating for the arrest
In the high profile Kanhaiya Singh murder case, the Congress had a vigorous agitation. Congress state president Rajesh Thakur also condemned this massacre and gave an ultimatum to the police to arrest the killers. Here, former CM Madhu Koda joined the march on foot. MP Geeta Koda condemned the incident. The Congressmen took to the road and surrounded the police on the deteriorating law and order situation in the district along with the arrest of the accused in the Kanhaiya Singh murder case. District President Chhotarai Kisku was involved in the movement. But when the police disclosed the matter, everyone was surprised. The minor son of Congress District President Chhotarai Kisku also turned out to be a conspirator in this murder. He was known to be an arms smuggler from Patna. So, on June 20, Sonpur went with Rajveer and Nikhil to kill Kanhaiya. He bought a country-made katta for 8 thousand 5 hundred rupees. On the other hand, the father was busy with the agitation in Adityapur.
Rajveer arrested from farm house in Kolkata
After killing Kanhaiya Singh, Rajveer Singh fled from the city. He was living in a farm house in Kolkata. While Nikhil Gupta had gone to his ancestral village Buxar. But when his name was not coming, he felt that now he would be saved. But the police was tracing him. Meanwhile, he came to Adityapur, after which he was arrested.
