Uttarakhand / Bageshwar : Police challaned 16 vehicles
The police have tightened the noose on those who drive under the influence of alcohol. Two drivers were found intoxicated. 16 vehicles were challaned and a fine of Rs 5,000 was collected. This has caused panic among the drivers. Many times drunken drivers are caught in the district. Accidents are also happening due to drugs. The Kotwali police has tightened the noose on such drivers. Kotwal Jagdish Dhakriyal said that during the checking, four challans were made under the MV Act. Two drivers were caught driving under the influence of alcohol. A case was registered against him in 185. Apart from this, action was taken against 12 people under the Police Act. He said that this campaign will continue in future also.
