Uttarakhand / Haldwani : Rs 12300 fine imposed on polythene
On Thursday, the municipal team launched a campaign against polythene on Nainital Road and Thandi Road. During this, taking action against 25 shopkeepers who gave goods in polythene, a fine of Rs 11,400 was collected. On the other hand, a fine of Rs 900 was collected from 11 vendors for spreading dirt.
On the instructions of Municipal Health Officer Dr. Manoj Kandpal, Sanitation Inspector Chatar Singh launched a campaign against polythene. The cleaning inspector said that 10 kg of polythene was also confiscated. Said that after this, fines were collected from the vendors for spreading dirt from Thandi Road and Tikonia Road to Prem Picture Hall.
