Uttarakhand / Udhamsingh Nagar : Residents agitated over Kalyani river and litter problem

Disturbed by the garbage and non-lifting of garbage from the houses, people demonstrated at the Municipal Corporation gate. After this, by submitting a memorandum to Assistant Municipal Commissioner Raju Nabiyal, demanding the lifting of garbage and cleaning of Kalyani river.

People of transit camp, Sanjay Nagar, troubled by the lack of environmental friends and non-collection of garbage, reached the Municipal Corporation on Saturday to meet the Municipal Commissioner. Where neither the Municipal Commissioner nor the Mayor met. Angered by this, people demonstrated at the gate under the leadership of social worker Subrata Kumar Vishwas. He said that neither the vehicles are arranged by the Municipal Corporation nor the sanitation workers are sent. Due to this the people are compelled to throw garbage here and there. Despite several requests, the municipal corporation and public representatives are not ready to listen to the voice of the people. Subrata Biswas said that if the problem is not resolved soon, then after 15 days the people of Rudrapur will picket the garbage inside the municipal corporation. Rahul Sagar, Daljit Singh, Anita, Neha, Kumni, Sajia Khan, Sanjay Singh, Dinesh Biswas, Anita Advani, Kamran Khan, Adil Mansoori were present on this occasion.
