Uttarakhand : State Congress conducts Satyagraha in Dehradun on ED’s questioning of Sonia Gandhi

Congress held a satyagraha in front of Ambedkar’s statue at Ghantaghar on Tuesday against the ED’s action on Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

All the Congressmen are sitting on dharna on this occasion. Under the leadership of Congress State President Karan Mahara, Congressmen protested from the Congress headquarters on Rajpur Road to Ghantaghar and raised slogans against the government. After this the Congress leaders have sat on the dharna.

State President Mahra alleged that the central government was working with a sense of revenge. In 2010, the ED stopped its operation, but the central government forcibly started the action again, which is condemnable.

Congress MLA Bhuvan Kapri alleged that nepotism, gross irregularities are being done in the recruitments being done through the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission.

Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya accused the government that about ten thousand posts are blood in various departments. The government has not declared the result for the vacancies for which the exam was conducted.

In order to divert the attention of the public, action is being taken on the Congress. The candidates have got a chance in the results of the examinations that have been released. Common man is feeling cheated.

Workers of Youth Congress, NSUI, Mahila Congress, Seva Dal, INTUC and Mahanagar Congress are present on this occasion. During this, MLA and former state president Pritam Singh made many serious allegations against the Uttarakhand Service Selection Commission.

Congress MLAs raised the issue of appointments of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission in the House even during the assembly session. On this occasion, Congress Vice President Suryakant Dhasmana, Metropolitan President Lalchand Sharma, former MLA Rajkumar, Sandeep Chamoli, Mohan Bhandari etc. were present.
