The much awaited international zoo construction in Gaulapar has once again raised hope. Haldwani Zoo, which has been hanging in the balance for the last 8 years, has not been constructed due to technical difficulties and budget. When Chief Wildlife Warden Samir Sinha reached Haldwani, there was hope. He told that the way for the construction of the international zoo to be built in Haldwani has almost been cleared. The construction of the zoo will start as soon as the paperwork and budget is received.
In the year 2015, the then Chief Minister Harish Rawat and Finance Minister Indira Hridayesh laid the foundation stone of the International Zoo in Gaulapar, Haldwani. The zoo was to be built with a budget of about ₹ 80 crore. A budget of about 20 crores has also been spent in the construction of the boundary wall of the zoo, but even after 8 years, the construction of the zoo is hanging in the balance. The construction work of the international zoo will start soon in Haldwani. Chief Wildlife Warden Samir Sinha told that the zoo There was a technical problem of land transfer in the construction, due to which the construction got delayed. In such a situation, under the new Act of the Union Ministry of Forest and Environment, zoo activity has been kept under forest activity, due to which it is expected that the process of zoo construction will start soon. The departmental officers have been directed to take full action and send its report to the government for the construction of the zoo, so that the zoo can be manufactured as soon as the budget is received.
Sameer Sinha said that along with the international zoo, a Bandarbara is also to be built in Danibangar, for which the departmental officers have been instructed to do paperwork. After instructions from the government, the work of Bandarbara will also be started.
Let us tell you, since the BJP government came to power in the year 2017 elections, the position of Ju has remained the same. It is being told that due to non-transfer of land, there was a technical problem in the construction of the zoo. In such a situation, once again there is hope for the construction of Haldwani Zoo.
