Uttarakhand : SIT claims in Ankita murder case, postmortem report and evidence alike, VIP guest disclosed

In the Ankita Bhandari murder case, SIT in-charge DIG P Renuka Devi has made an important disclosure. He said that the post-mortem report of Ankita Bhandari, which has come, matches with the evidence from the spot. At the same time, P Renuka Devi further said that the accused was also taken to the spot. During interrogation of the resort staff, it was found that the guests staying in the top class rooms are called VIP guests. Earlier, DIG P Renuka Devi told the media that the post-mortem has been done in AIIMS. A panel of doctors has conducted the post-mortem and videography has been done. The video of the post-mortem can be seen with the permission of the court. P Renuka Devi said that all the people who were in contact with Ankita are being questioned. Revenue officers and employees are being questioned regarding this matter. Because, the case of Ankita’s disappearance from the resort was registered by the revenue police itself. He said that the team is doing its work sincerely. Soon a charge sheet will be filed against the accused.

Let us tell you that Ankita Bhandari (19), a resident of Dobh Srikot in Nandalsu Patti of Pauri district, used to work as a receptionist at Vanantra Resort located in Gangapur Bhogpur on Barrage Chila Marg of Rishikesh. This resort belonged to Pulkit Arya, son of BJP leader Vinod Arya (now expelled from BJP). Ankita was working in this resort since August 28, but on September 18, Ankita mysteriously went missing. After which Pulkit Arya, the owner of the resort, lodged a missing complaint with the revenue police post. Nothing was known of Ankita till 22 September. After this the matter was transferred to Laxmanjhula police station.

At the same time, when the police investigated, the role of the operator of the resort and its managers came to the fore. In the interrogation of the employees of the resort, it was found that on September 18 at around eight in the evening, Pulkit Arya, the owner of Ankita Resort, along with manager Ankit and Bhaskar from the resort. Had left, but when he returned, Ankita was not with him. On this basis, the police took all three into custody and interrogated them, after which all three spilled the beans. After this, all three were arrested and presented in the court. The court sent the trio to 14-day judicial custody. Now the accused are on police remand. SIT is investigating the matter. The SIT has got the crime scene recreated by taking the three accused to the spot. Statements of all the witnesses have been taken. The SIT investigation is still going on.
