On this occasion, the Sangh chief underlined the importance of Maharishi Valmiki and said that if he had not written Ramayana, we would not have got Rama. He said that Valmiki stands with the society with the strength of the Sangh. It is worth noting that just on Friday, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had called for completely abandoning concepts like high and low, discrimination, varna and caste in the society. Addressing a book release function in Nagpur, the Sangh chief had said that the caste system has no relevance now. Referring to the book ‘Vajrasuchi Tunk’ written by Dr. Madan Kulkarni and Dr. Renuka Bokare, he said that social equality was part of the Bharati tradition but it was forgotten and it had harmful consequences.

In a program organized in Kanpur on the occasion of Valmiki Jayanti on Sunday, the Sangh chief talked about social unity. He said that the volunteers will come to you themselves. You don’t need to come, we will empower you. The volunteers know that the entire Hindu society is ours. This society is ours, Bharatvarsh is ours, which will always be there. Hindu society should be proud of Valmiki Samaj. He said that Hindu society should be proud of Valmiki Samaj because, it was Lord Valmiki who introduced Lord Rama to Hindu society. If he had not written Ramayana, then today Hindu society would not have got Lord Ram.

Not only this, Valmiki had kept Bhagwati Sita like a daughter. He said, Valmiki was inspired by Narada for the Ramayana. Lord Rama is worshiped in the country because of Lord Valmiki. Compassion is an important theme in Sanatan Dharma. No religion can be complete without compassion. Valmiki Jayanti is a national festival for us.
