Uttarakhand : Out of 29 dead bodies in Uttarkashi avalanche accident, 27 dead bodies were searched for rescue 2

Draupadi’s Danda-2 27 out of 29 bodies that were hit by the avalanche (Uttarkashi Avalanche) on the peak have been taken out. However, only 11 bodies have been delivered to the district headquarters. The Air Force plane left for Heli Base Camp on Sunday morning to retrieve the remaining 16 bodies, out of which 10 bodies have been brought to Matli Helipad, while the search for the two missing trainee climbers is still on. On Sunday, as soon as the weather opened in Uttarkashi, a heli rescue operation was started to retrieve the bodies of the trainee climbers. 10 bodies from Draupadi’s Danda base camp were taken to Matli helipad by Air Force helicopter. The bodies of 7 mountaineers who were hit by the avalanche were taken to Matli helipad on Saturday. So far, a total of 11 bodies have been handed over to the relatives. The rescue operation is getting affected due to repeated bad weather. Two people are still missing and the search is on.

On October 4, 29 members of the Nehru Mountaineering Institute were hit by an avalanche. Disaster Management Officer Devendra Patwal said that today 10 bodies have been brought through helicopter, whose post-mortem is being done in Matli. The post-mortem of these dead bodies will be done in the ITBP hospital premises in Matli itself. The bodies are being identified. Draupadi Danda Base Camp and Advance Base Camp now have the bodies of 6 climbers. These dead bodies have to be transported to Uttarkashi via heli.

The bodies of the above 10 people have been brought to Matli helipad by helicopter from Dokrani base camp, which have been identified by their relatives. Panchnama and post-mortem of the dead bodies is being done.
