In such a situation, the Chief Minister has also given a clear indication to the officials that any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in the reconstruction work. In fact, the reconstruction work is going on continuously by the central and state government in the Kedarnath Dham temple complex and the surrounding area, which was badly grounded in the disaster of 2013.

In 2018 PM Modi celebrated Diwali in Uttarakhand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at Kedarnath Dham on the occasion of Diwali on 7 November 2018. Ever since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, he has been celebrating Diwali with the soldiers of the army. Continuing this tradition, in 2018 also he celebrated Diwali with the soldiers. PM Modi celebrated Diwali with Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Army personnel at Harshil near the India-China border in Uttarakhand.

After becoming the Prime Minister, PM Modi first reached Kedarnath on May 3, 2017. After this PM Modi again reached Kedarnath on 20 October. During that time he had laid the foundation stone of five big projects worth Rs 700 crore for Kedarnath reconstruction. After this, PM Modi reached Kedarnath for the third time on November 7, 2018. During this, he did the on-site inspection of the reconstruction works. PM Modi reached Baba Kedarnath Dham for the fourth time on 18 May 2019. On November 5, 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kedarath Dham for the fifth time. This time he offered prayers at Kedarnath temple. Apart from this, he also unveiled a 12 feet tall and 35 tonnes weight statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. Also inaugurated projects worth Rs 130 crore. According to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is continuously monitoring these construction works closely. After the continuous work for the last several years, now the picture of the grand Kedarpuri is visible in front of the country and the world.
