Parineeti Chopra’s film Tiranga flopped

The result of Code Name: Tiranga, which was released on Friday, has given a big blow to Bollywood. The way heroine-oriented films were running before Corona, the exact opposite is happening after Corona. Their success graph is continuously coming down. But the result of last Friday’s weekend is at a very low level. Only 25 lakhs on the first day, 35 lakhs on the second day and about 40 lakhs on Sunday. A total of Rs 1 crore was collected at the ticket window, which is like a nightmare for A List actress contender Parineeti Chopra. She is the sister of a star like Priyanka Chopra. They got a lot of benefit from it. Then he started with a banner like Yash Raj Films and five of the first six films came from there. In the first two-three films, he got the benefit and success of the banner. But after this, as soon as Yash Raj left and Priyanka said goodbye to Bollywood, Parineeti’s career came to a standstill.

Producer lost crores
In fact, Code Name: Tiranga made it clear that Parineeti cannot take the film to the box office as a sole actor and unless a star like Akshay Kumar from Kesari film is with her, her career is difficult to rise. Code Name: Before the tricolor, Parineeti’s shoulder was also the weight of Saina, the biopic of India’s champion shuttler Saina Nehwal. Parineeti had become Saina in the film but the film got dusty. The film with a budget of 26 crores earned barely three crores at the worldwide box office. Now the situation is even worse in the code name: Tricolor. The makers had kept the ticket rates low for this film, despite that people did not go to see. Trade experts believe that Code Name: Tricolor’s life time business will be around Rs 1.5 crore less than Saina. This is a big setback for Parineeti’s career.

Director also failed
This film is also not less than a red mark for its director Ribhu Dasgupta. He first made three in Hindi with Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, which was a flop. After this he made flop webseries like Bard of Blood for Netflix for Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies. Her remake of Parineeti starrer The Girl on the Train on Netflix itself was neither liked by the audience nor the critics. Now finally his code name: Tiranga’s failure at the box office. This is also the second major setback for the film’s producers Reliance Entertainment within a month. Earlier, his big film Vikram Vedha also faltered at the box office to recover its cost.
