PM Modi made these 3 big announcements for agriculture sector and farmers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated PM Kisan Samman Sammelan and Agriculture Startup Conclave and Exhibition 2022. On this occasion, he made 3 big announcements for the agriculture sector and Indian farmers. PM Modi released the installment of the 12th PM Kisan Samman Nidhi in the Kisan Sammelan held in New Delhi today. This installment of 16 thousand crores was deposited to more than 8 crore farmers in India and it was also the biggest event of Direct Bank Transfer (DBT) in India. Since the launch of this scheme, till now more than 2 lakh crore rupees have been transferred directly into the bank accounts of farmers. This is a huge support for small farmers who are more than 85 percent of the country’s farmers. On this occasion, PM Modi also inaugurated 600 Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samridhi Kendra (PM-KSK) across India. Kisan Samridhi Kendras have been developed by redeveloping existing fertilizer shops into one stop shops for farmers. At these shops, farmers will be able to buy seeds, Bharat brand fertilisers, pesticides and other agricultural inputs from a single shop and they will not need to visit 2-3 shops to buy agricultural inputs. They will also be able to rent agricultural machines including drones from these shops. These centers will also help the farmers to understand the agricultural schemes.

Farmers used to buy fertilizers from different companies but most of them were confused about the names of the companies. They also had different perceptions about the quality of different fertilizers sold by different companies in the market. Even though the government provides subsidy on fertilizers and also helps in procurement, farmers are always skeptical about the quality of fertilizers/fertilizers offered by different companies. To clear all doubts, the government has introduced Bharat Brand Fertilizers/fertilizers have been applied. The names of all fertilizers like Urea, DAP, NPK, MOP etc will now be Bharat Urea, Bharat DAP etc. With the implementation of this new India Brand Fertilizer, all the fertilizer/fertilizer bags will look alike, so farmers can buy and use them without doubting about the quality of the fertilizer. Farmers can buy these Bharat Brand fertilizers from Kisan Samridhi Kendra. Can buy The government is in the process of developing 3.25 lakh Kisan Samridhi Kendras across India to provide better service to the farmers.
